CWC-ASSP members generously contributed to the Chelsea Hicks Foundation ( at the October 11, 2018 membership meeting.   Members brought costumes and/or donated cash allowing the Community Services Committee to purchase additional costumes.  The twenty costumes collected and purchased were delivered to the Chelsea Hicks Foundation (CHF) where they will be added to the Chelsea’s Closet inventory.  The Chelsea’s Closet program supports seriously ill children at Doernbecher and Randall Children’s Hospitals and provides costumes for monthly dress-up parties for these kids with the goal of bringing “smiles to their faces and joy to their hearts and have them forget- if just for a few moments – the struggles they are facing.”  Chelsea’s Closet reaches over 2,300 kids every year.  Alison Hicks created CHF after her own 5 year old daughter, Chelsea, lost her battle with cancer.  Chelsea was a remarkable child with energy and zest for life who delighted in dressing up during her 20-month battle with cancer.

Thank you CWC-ASSP members for caring and supporting organizations in our community doing great work!
