ASSP CWC February Membership Meeting 2020

Please join our Columbia-Willamette Chapter as we jointly meet with the Oregon Chapter of RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society) at the Multnomah Athletic Club. Please note the different time of 4:30-6:00 pm. Please ensure that you pre-register for this event in which cost of attendance is $25 paid either online or at the door. At door registration will incur a cost of $35. Please pre-register no later than Feb. 6 at 5 pm. 

Topic: Diversity and Inclusion in Safety and Risk

While the terms diversity and inclusion may be familiar to many safety and risk professionals, it may not be as easy to make the connection between diversity, equity and inclusion and the interaction with safety, loss prevention and risk. Join us for an informative dialogue on how diversity and inclusion is intertwined with all aspects of the organization including safety and risk.

Speaker: Victoria Nolan, CSP, ARM, Victoria Nolan Enterprises, LLC

Victoria’s background includes having served as the Risk and Benefits Manager at Clean Water Services for 22 years where she managed a comprehensive risk and employee benefits program including safety and loss prevention programs, insured and self-insured programs for property, liability, workers’ compensation and employee benefits. Victoria also spent time as the District’s Loss Prevention Coordinator and an industrial Safety Engineer with Tektronix Inc. Victoria is currently serving on the Diversity and Inclusion Council and the Annual Conference Program Planning Committee with RIMS.

Since 2015, Victoria has become a resource to the business community sharing her perspectives and experiences as a transgender woman assisting organizations better understand the benefits of creating diverse and inclusive cultures for their employees, clients and customers as well as how to address diversity and inclusion issues as they relate to HR, risk and safety.
