In what has become an annual event, Oregon OSHA’s administrator – Michael Wood, gives an update of recent, current and future regulatory events and happenings in Oregon. For Oregon safety professionals, it is the “State of the State Safety Programs” address. He will be talking about both federal and state activities as they relate to occupational safety and health.

Speaker Bio:

Michael Wood, CSP became the administrator of the Occupational Safety and Health Division of the Oregon Department of Consumer Services (Oregon OSHA) in September of 2005. Prior to taking on that responsibility, he was employed by the state of Washington for more than 21 years. After three years working for the Washington State Legislature, Wood worked for the Washington Department of Labor and Industries in a number of capacities, including more than a decade as the Senior Program Manager of WISHA Policy & Technical Services and eight months as the Acting Assistant Director for WISHA Services. He also spent four months administering the Washington Self Insurance Program. Wood is a Certified Safety Professional and a graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
