ASSP CWC Fall Professional Development Conference (PDC)

Topic: Forklift Train-the-Trainer

Presented by: D2000 Safety

D2000 Safety has partnered with the ASSP Columbia Willamette Chapter to offer a $100 off discounted rate for this Professional development opportunity! Providing accessible, face-to-face and virtual opportunities for ASSP members to become better safety professionals is at the core of what we do at the ASSP Columbia Willamette Chapter. Thank you to D2000 Safety for their support of our chapter and the safety and health community!

This in-person class is designed to provide experienced forklift operators with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver effective initial and refresher training to your employees. Students who take this class must be experienced operators of the types of trucks in use at their location.

The class will cover inspection practices, basic forklift operation, refueling, and strategies to conduct effective training. Each student will receive a scripted leader’s guide, PowerPoint presentation, and additional resources needed to provide effective classroom and practical instruction at their location.

This course reflects both Oregon and Washington standards.

Attendees will earn 0.8 CEUs from BCSP upon completion of the class, and this class is certified through OESAC for environmental designations (Public Works, Cities, etc.)

Instructor: Kenneth Lindsey

Kenn has 30 years of experience with production and safety in an industrial environment. With past experience as a Manager and Instructor for a local steel mill, he instructs forklift, confined space, fall protection, high angle and tower rescue for D2000 Safety.

Does your location also use telehandlers?

In addition to forklifts, some locations use telescoping lift trucks (telehandlers). Training these operators requires a program that reflects this equipment. To meet the needs of these onsite trainers, an add-on virtual class is offered on December 1st. Attendees will receive a separate leader’s guide and class resources prior to the class.

You can register for both the in-person November 29th Forklift class and the online December 1st Telehandler class.

Add-on class: Telehandler Train-the-Trainer Certification

Cost $145

Format: Virtual – Zoom

Time: 9am-12pm

Attendees will earn 0.4 CEUs from BCSP upon completion of the class, and this class is certified through OESAC for environmental designations (Public Works, Cities, etc.)

Registration for both classes closes on Wednesday, November 22nd @ 8am

Register through D2000 Safety at: D2000 Forklift Class Registration

You will be prompted to register for the Forklift Class and will be contacted about whether you’d like to add-on the Telehandler class.
