The Occupational Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and supervising a county-wide safety program to establish and ensure safe work practices in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Develops and implements risk management strategies into program elements, including safety plans, L&I (WISHA) & OSHA compliance, and employee wellness initiatives. Additionally, the Safety Manager shall collaborate with Department Directors in updating all Health & Safety elements that include, community services, emergency response, hazardous waste dumping and clean-up programs, worker safety, accident prevention, and damage claims.
