Safety & Risk Manager (Safety Specialist 2)- Oregon Department of Agriculture

Job Description: Work closely with leadership, management and frontline employees to create and support organizational excellence through safety programming, disaster preparedness and risk management. Identify and reduce risks through policy development, safety program training development and implementation, and coordinate safety teams. The role also includes emergency planning and response through collaboration with agencies like the Oregon Department of Emergency Management and FEMA, provide disaster preparedness training, and maintain a Continuity of Operations Plan. Additionally, this position will manage the agency’s risk management tasks, like claims, risk reports, and consultations.
