2026 Officer Installation Event at the Oregon Zoo

Join the ASSP Columbia-Willamette Chapter for our annual Officer Installation Event — for the first time ever, hosted at the Oregon Zoo during Zoo Nights!

This annual celebration brings our Chapter community together to recognize the people who make our work possible. We’ll present the Chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award, thank our outgoing officers and volunteers, and formally install our incoming 2026 – 2027 Chapter officers.

Event Schedule

5:00 p.m. – Guest arrival, networking, and pre-dinner charcuterie display

5:45 – 6:45 p.m. – Dinner buffet

Officer Installation Program – Recognition of award recipients, volunteers, outgoing officers, and incoming Chapter leadership

After the program – Enjoy Oregon Zoo Nights featuring live music from Andy Stokes

What’s Included

Registration includes admission to Oregon Zoo Nights, access to our private event space in the Aviary Understory, dinner, dessert, lemonade, and iced water.

Dinner will include a Tex-Mex buffet with grilled marinated chicken thighs, cilantro lime rice, seasoned black beans and roasted corn salad, fajita vegetables, and assorted toppings. A pre-dinner charcuterie display and assorted cookies will also be provided.

A no-host bar will be available for attendees who wish to purchase beer, cider, wine, canned cocktails, soda, or sparkling water.

Zoo Nights

There’s no better place to enjoy a summer night in Portland. Take a stroll through the beautifully forested grounds, gather with colleagues and friends, or spread out a blanket in the amphitheater and enjoy live music.

For guests planning to enjoy the amphitheater lawn, Oregon Zoo asks that chairs be limited to 33 inches high with a seat height of 10 inches or lower. Blankets should be 6′ x 6′ or smaller.

Walk-Ins: Walk-ins are not permitted for this event. Advance registration is required. 

Dietary Restrictions: Please contact a Chapter Officer with any dietary restrictions.

Cancellations: Cancellation requests made after the close of registration are not eligible for a refund. If you make a request to cancel your registration 72 hours before the event date, your registration will be refunded, as long as you reach out and request a refund. Please contact one of the following chapter officers to notify them of your cancellation: President, President-Elect, VP, Treasurer, Treasurer-Elect.
